Jenny Jenks was born April 12th, 1981 in Overland Park Kansas. She graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 2000 with an advanced placement merit in photography, drawing, and painting. Jenny was chosen state wide to show her photgraphy work through her advanced placement program with shows in Chicago and New York City in 2001. In 2006 she received her B.F.A in Photgraphy and 2D studies from The San Francsico Art Institute.
While attending the SFAI, she had two group shows at their Diego Rivera Gallery. Jenny has had works exhibited at The Zones Gallery in Miami Flordia, The Matri Gallery in San Francisco, a solo photography show at The Irene. B. French Gallery in Merriam Kansas, the Lawrence Arts Center and most currently in a group show exhibiting mixed media collage and photography workat Back to the Picture Gallery in San Francisco.
