Larry Mitchell

Larry Mitchell is a playwright, father, teacher, director, producer, and sometime actor. He received his BFA in theatre from Emporia State in 2006 and is a candidate for a playwriting MFA from the University Of Arkansas. His play, American Bear, was part of the 2010 Lawrence Arts Center New Play Festival and was produced this summer by Theatre En Bloc in Austin, TX, for which he is the resident playwright. His play The Tin Woodsman will have a first reading at the Lawrence Arts Center before being produced in Austin by En Bloc later this year. Larry teaches Creative Dramatics, acting, playwriting, speech, and other theater related classes as well as serving as a stage manager for the Lawrence Arts Center.
