Sarah Rooney
art educator
Sarah Rooney has been teaching arts and drama to children for the past 12 years. She presently works part-time with Visiting Nurses as the Hospice Volunteer Coordinator and practices massage therapy. She performed with the Seem To Be Players and is very excited about teaching at the Arts Center again. She enjoys the fluid imagination youth bring to their creative work and is great at harnessing and directing that abundant energy and talent. Through experimentation with multi-media, play, and idea sharing, youth learn to express themselves in new ways and, hopefully, begin to re-see the world as an endless art project. Sarah is teaching four sections of Imagination Station for 3rd through 5th graders, and Guerilla Art for 6th through 12th.
